Here is a summary of what's in my latest homebuilt computer. Since I'm a quadriplegic, paralyzed from the neck down, I couldn't assemble it myself; so, my brother assembled it for me. It was originally assembled in November 1999 with some additions since. The motherboard and cpu were last upgraded March 2002. Ok, I agree it's not as "cool" as what's now available today, but it's still working for me.I access the computer by using a pneumatic (air) switch to sip and puff morse codes. It is connected to the computer using the Adap2U Keyboard Emulator System. This allows me to enter keyboard commands, move the mouse and click the mouse buttons.
